healthy feet clinic

When our feet fall short of their responsibilities, our whole body suffers.  If our feet are not well–founded on the structural level, it is difficult, if not impossible to achieve balance in the body above them. Foot tension and imbalance restricts natural movement. It can be a major cause of lower back pain and the root of the problems as far away as the shoulders, neck, and jaw.

Your feet affect the entirety of your posture in a deep and profound way.

The saying “As goes the foundation, so goes the building” is true enough, but unlike buildings, our bodies move. Even when we are simply standing, our feet act as a dynamic foundation, constantly adapting to the shifting weight patterns from above (we are always moving, even when we are seemingly standing still). Every day our feet adjust to the uneven surfaces, and sustain the repetitive shock of walking and athletic movement. On an average day our feet absorb up to three million pounds of pressure.

So, how do you get your feet more balanced, aligned, and graceful?

Join Dr. Christopher Lyddell* and me for a holistic and grounded approach to your feet in the Healthy Feet Clinic.

Gain a clear understanding of your feet’s anatomy, as our guest speaker, Dr. Christopher Lyddell, explains it in understandable terms with the help of 3D digital illustrations. See what happens when you walk, and run; when your feet pronate, or supinate; understand the science behind plantar fasciitis and collapsed arches.

Get a clear idea of the faulty bio–mechanics that are causing sore feet and postural imbalances with self–assessment of your standing and walking gait.

Use our tested and true program of relaxation, stretching and neuromuscular exercise to build more awareness and balance in your standing and walking, while reducing pain and numbness.

Find out how to align your feet with your knees, hips and spine.

Discover simple and effective exercises to get rid of your bunions.

What about running? Learn how to care and protect your feet while running and how to choose the appropriate footwear that will protect and re- align your feet.

Join us at the Healthy Feet Clinic to start healing your feet.
Postural healing begins by accumulating new, healthy sensations in our body.  By giving your brain the sensory information it needs to create healthy new habits of movement, you will create new healthy ways of walking and running without pain, strain or tension.
