Sages and Scientists Symposium: The Merging of a New Future

At the end of February I have attended Sages and Scientists Symposium in Carlsbad, California.
Put on by the Chopra Foundation, this event featured a panel of world-class scientists and sages. Quantum physicists, like Dr. Fred Alan Wolfe and Dr.Hans-Peter Duerr; bio-chemists Dr. Juliana Brooks and Dr. Vladimir Voikov, experts from medical field, representatives from the Institute of Noetic Science and many others shared their vision of the new future of science, medicine and global community. The Merging of the New Future explored “the contemporary synthesis where science and soul coexist comfortably”.
As I sat down to write this post, I thought “Where do I even start?”
The amount of information presented has been vast; it’ll take me a few weeks, may be even months to process it. Yet the theme, the thread that carried on from one presentation to another, and from one speaker to the next was the same: our understanding of this world, the nature of the universe and the nature of human body, is changing.” For centuries in the West, science has rejected the idea of transcendent realities. But over the last few decades another voice has made itself heard. The worldwide financial meltdown is matched by a cultural pandemic of confusion and a desperate search for deeper values. A groundswell of knowledge and insight has been building. Its shared message is this:
There is something else, a dimension of reality beyond the material world. Beyond us but in our midst.”
I left on with the feeling of immense gratitude for the privilege to attend this event and visceral understanding of how deeply, intimately and intricately we are all connected. As I boarded the plane on Monday, I kept asking myself:
How can I help?
How can I serve my community and the global community?
What can I do?
